Kimpact Development Initiative, the coordinating hub for OYA with the support of National Democratic Institute (NDI), United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and British Department for International Development (DFID) facilitated a 5-day training for OYA technical committee, OYA Local Government Hub Coordinators and Media Station on 27-31 May 2019 at D. C Hotel GRA Osogbo. The training focused primarily on
building the capacity of the fifteen (15) technical committee, thirty-five (35) LG Hubs and twenty (20) Media
Stations/personality on Community Organizing, Policy Development, Legislative Engagement and Strategic Communication, as these are needed knowledge, skills and ability to have a seamless advocacy on Osun Youth Agenda Campaign.
A facilitated and group working session was held during the 5-day Advocacy, Community Organizing and Policy Development Training, the recommendations of OYA Agenda as gotten from the Youth Priority Need Survey were smartened by the trained technical committee and the local government hub coordinators using the indicators gotten from professionals with real-time information inline with international standards. These recommendations were then graphically designed into a brochure and factsheet to aid visual communication. The brochure is being used for high-profile stakeholder’s advocacy meetings while the fact sheet is an excerpt of the brochure which is used for grassroots awareness.
