Kimpact Election Violence Situation Room received reports from monitors from across the 21 local government areas of the State on Saturday, November 6 2021. From these reports down to its analysis, the election was peaceful. There was no report of outright breakdown of law and order in any of the polling units that KDI observed in Anambra State from all verified reports.

Recall, KDI did project a peaceful election day in her preliminary statement on Friday, November 5 2021, but emphasised the need for adequate logistics preparation of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Also, raised concerns around police brutality, fake news, and low turnout.

Even though the turnout may be abysmally lower than 2017, KDI acknowledges the enthusiasm of the Anambra people and the numbers that turned out to exercise their franchise. However, this zeal was put off by election logistics issues. These include the late commencement of polls due to the late arrival of election officials and malfunctioning of Biometric Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) devices.
